do one thing every day that scares you!

~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Coaching focuses on the client in the present with the vision of the future as the main focus to encourage personal development and self-improvement.  A coach will help create a picture of their future through clarity and alignment with their values.  A coach may not diagnose or treat mental health issues but may refer clients when appropriate.

Counseling is a talk therapy that assesses the individual dealing with current issues but works to understand the past events that have shaped their client’s current life struggles. A counselor will help clients develop coping skills and strategies to move forward with their life.

Coaching and Counseling work complement each other well.  While the work we will do together will be Coaching, if you ever feel the need to address some unresolved feelings from the past, I will refer to a network of counselors.

Yes!  What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions, just like seeing a therapist.

Coaches Do:

Coaches do not...

Coaches do not...

  • Help you clarify and focus your vision of a successful life
  • Help you create awareness around yourself and your life
  • Listen deeply and actively, asking powerful questions to clarify what you truly want
  • Believe in you and your life full of possibilities!
  • Trust you to be the expert in your life

Coaches do not...

Coaches do not...

Coaches do not...

  • Provide therapy
  • Diagnose or treat any issues
  • Solve your problems for you
  • Judge you or impose their thoughts and ideas on you
  • Give you any "hard" advice (legal, financial, etc)

Don't be pushed by your problems, but led by your dreams.
